Chris Burris was riding his Bike home early Saturday morning (2am) with his lover, Charkra Lou and her 4 year old daughter Abbey.
They were riding back across town to Chakras bus to go to sleep. They had a long
bike ride, and they were really tired, We are not sure
if that effected the out come. But they chose to ride
on the street MLK Blvd, which also happens to be the same
road as Grand, Milwaukee, and High Way 99E.

Cars are known to speed in that area, becuase it is
the fastest way to get across town. Few stop signs, no
speed bumps. As far as known, what happened was they
saw a car coming up from behind them, and Chris told
Chakra to ride on the the side walk. And at that
moment the car hit chris from behind. The cops said
based on the skid marks, and damage to the bike, the
driver of the car must have been going really fast (50mph+).
Chris suffered a Terrible blow, and died on Impact from a broken neck, and ruptured heart. The car slowed down, then took off. 2 miniuts later, some one drove by with
a cell phone and called the police. Chakra was left holding her lovers lifeless body, on a busy street in the dark of night. Luckily, her daughter was still sleeping in the child seat on her Bicycle.

Later the driver of the Vehicle, that was actually a rental car, returned the car to the rental agency. The driver claimed to have hit a Deer! (in down town portland?!) The Rental agency, called an insurance adjuster, and the Trained Insurance adjuster noticed the obvious signs that this was not a deer, and was suspicious of foul play. The Police were notified, Paint and other forensic samples were analyzed and the Killer of Chris Burris was quickly brought into custody and is curretly being held at high bail.
