New Order comes to the bay after how long?? well long time

So yah, new order couldn't stay away....

I was debating going, but glad I did.....

Yah, new order still has it.....there getting up there, but they can still rock a crowd, starting out with stuff from the Movement era, really got the crowd going for sure......i have to say though, bernard just doesn't sound good live, don't know what it is his voice or what, they played their great old songs, but I just don't think the band (whoever is left of the original) just arent made for live performances.....the sound at the henry j. was pretty on it, the bass got under your skin.....but still, they just don't have that live stamina....not to mention my heart going out to bernard sumner, while in the heat of a song, jumped a little and fell......but it was great to see him get into it......and enjoy......;-)

Their set was a little short, but they played most of the songs they just "had" to play....

It was cool to hear them play two Joy Division tracks, im sure you can guess the first.....?..."Love.....W..."....

They played some songs from their new album entitled, No, which surprisingly weren't that bad, and actually sounded like old stuff...

Of course, Blue Monday, had to be the encore......

The crowd was great, they were really into it, and kept it going non-stop, big dancy crowd too....

Especially for the Chemical Brothers, which actually rocked it pretty solid, I was surprised that their stuff was good as it was, some good bassy, breaky, electroey, technoey, techno-trancey stuff, dreamy stuff....with amazing visuals, yah, they are all about visuals, which were pretty awesome and the light show.....and actually some protest and political anthems in their footage which was kind of a nice surprise, I guess their new album "Push the Button" has some political and social anthems to it, it was good to see some stuff like this from a big pop electronic band......

The price was a bit stiff, and I only went cause I scored a cheap ticket.....

But all in all, worth it I think....

Highlight of the evening:

Great feeling to be able to go to a show on your bicycle!!!....whew...
