Hello. In June of 2007, I was riding in Oakland Critical Mass with the soundsystem trailer that many of you might have seen at cm rides, renegade parties and protests. An OPD cop blocked my path and pulled me off my bike without any warning and put me in the back of a cop car and proceeded to write me a ticket because apparently he didn't approve of bicyclists celebrating alternative transportation and raising awareness on issues like global warming while having a lot of fun. I think he was just jealous. Anyway, I ended up fighting the ticket and the judge threw me the book on my recent court date on Oct 15th. She was obviously biased based on her statement, "I've been hearing about you Critical Mass people and all the trouble you're causing." She made me pay a fine of $200.
